The exterior has a nice tactile texture which will age well with use. The zipper operates smoothly. Useful pocket on exterior. The inside is super! VERY soft, plushy material in contrasting color. Color not vital to performance but it adds a lot of interest. Two roomy pockets hold slim to fat ( sorry, couldn’t think of a better word) pens securely. There is enough room between the zipper and the pens to safely remove and insert them without scraping against the zipper teeth. Will probably get a 4-6 size at some point.
