The spring-loaded clip secures the pen in your pocket or pen case, and the cap posts securely on the barrel when you are writing. When posted, the pen is quite long. The black-plated stainless steel nib is available in several nib options. The cap snaps closed securely when you are done writing. I’m very impressed at the smooth writing and balance of this rather inexpensive pen. Slim is not for everyone but it fits my smaller hand comfortably. A good entry level pen to experience quality writing. The converter is easy to use and clean as is the pen itself.
