The TWSBI ECO Carrara fountain pen features a clear acrylic body with white and black marble looking cap and turning knob, onyx trim, a piston ink-filling system, smooth-writing steel nib and a screw-on cap. The TWSBI ECO piston ink-filling system uses only bottled ink and the clear body allows the user to view the level of ink remaining in the pen at all times. The pen cap has an inner cap liner that maintains a thorough seal when the pen is not in use.

The traditional mechanism of the fountain pen, combined with a modern industrial design, embodies both the past and the present. This pen runs about the same in length as the Diamond 580 and is just a tiny bit thinner. One difference between the ECO fountain pen and the other TWSBI pens is that the ECO does not have a removable nib unit, and the barrel and nib unit are all one piece. There will not be separate nib units for this pen.

We offer Free Shipping on all orders over $59 for US customers!

TWSBI believes that it is important to allow the user to disassemble and reassemble the pen, in order to completely experience the traditional aspects of owning and using a fountain pen. The TWSBI pen packaging includes a wrench and silicone grease.

** Please note that these accessories are not intended to be used immediately, as they are better used for long-term care and maintenance. In addition, please use extra care if you choose to disassemble the nib and feed, as the feed is very fragile, and breakage or cracking could occur.

    TWSBI ECO CARRARA with ONYX

Posted by John Fisher on Oct 15th 2025

At first glance, you may be thinking that this is just another one of the many Eco's that have popped up. Perhaps this is the new color amongst all the others. You would be wrong. This falls in line with the recent release of the Serpentine Bronze which transformed the humble Eco into something else. That is what we have here with this new release. All of the things expected of the TWSBI Eco are there, so this is one of the better pens at its price out there . What sets this head and shoulders above its kinfolk is the resin cap and barrel finial and that onyx trim. This is a much more serious pen than the standard Eco. The resin gives the appearance of marble and the onyx trim sets this up perfectly. Not only do you get the quality writer you have come to expect, but now you have a pen twith some decent looks to match. The same goes for the Serpentine Bronze.. For those that collect Eco's, you absolutely must buy these pens! TWSBI has really knocked this mixed resin scheme out of the park. It has convinced me and I was not much of a fan of the brand. I have purchased the Serpentine Bronze Eco and this Carrara with Onyx Eco right here with Cardinal Pens. The standard Eco's don't do anything for me but these do. If you are a fan than you owe it to yourself to snag one of these.

    Another Great TWSBI

TWSBI made a second dual color pen. The marble color looks real. It writes like a dream.
