It takes about any nib size or ink I throw at it without bleedthrough or feathering and I've seen no fading over the two years I've been using these. With a section at the top for date and title, and a narrow dot-grid, I can write small with an EF or F tip, or go broad with bolder notes with perfect clarity. Sometimes it is hard to get my favorite B5 notebooks, but I can almost always find them at Cardinal Pens!
